The performance of Seussical was nothing short of amazing!  The students worked very hard for a short 3 weeks and entertained the audience with their singing, dancing, and acting.  I am very proud of these students for the work they did! A big shout out to Jenna Topping and Abby White, former Nessacus students, who volunteered their time during their break from college in order to put this together!

There will be no school on Monday in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.  Please take some time this weekend to talk to your children about Martin Luther King and his amazing achievements as a civil rights leader!

This week we had a team come to Nessacus to visit classrooms and speak to staff and students about our strengths and areas of needed improvement.  We are currently looking at data and doing some root cause analysis to create our Turnaround Plan. I will be sharing this information as we have it available at PTO meetings and School Council meetings.

This month we received two special education teachers’ resignations.  Maya Close-Barber resigned at the beginning of the month and Stefanie Wondriska Clark will be resigning as of January 30th.  We wish them well in their new endeavors and thank them for their service in CBRSD.

The next Nessacus Dances will be January 25th and February 8th.

Grades closed this week and report cards will be distributed next Friday, January 25th.  If you have any questions regarding your students grades you can check Powerschool and email or call your child’s teacher directly.
